I am particularly interested in documenting the vivid colours and dynamic atmosphere of cultural
celebrations. Through photography, I aim to capture instances where communities transform
ordinary settings into visually compelling displays of collective expression—such as the vibrant
bursts of vermillion during Holi, the shimmer of gold silk at harvest festivals, and the striking
blues of ceremonial masks set against timeworn faces.
For me, festival photography involves representing colour as an expression of emotion. Each
distinctive hue communicates a narrative that transcends spoken language: deep crimsons signify
devotion, brilliant yellows evoke joy, and earthy ochres embody ancestral ties. I pursue these
moments of visual intensity because they provide insight into our shared identity as it is
expressed through communal celebration.
